Counselor - Tameka Long Mrs. Long is the 6th grade counselor and 8th grade A-K Alpha. She is a Dallas native, but her entire career has been in Fort Worth ISD. She taught elementary for 16 years before becoming a school counselor. This is her 25th year in education. In her spare time, she loves to travel and spend time with family. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and is passionate about serving others. Mrs. Long can assist with schedules, individual planning, college & career resources, counseling referrals, crisis intervention, student & family advocacy, academic support, and 504 coordination. Mission & Vision: To provide a comprehensive school counseling program that fosters the social, academic, & college/ career preparation of all students in alignment with state, district and school missions. Promoting a commitment to personal & academic growth, lifelong learning, and guiding students in becoming productive members of society are goals. Collaborating with teachers, administrators, parents and community partners in an effort to support student achievement is essential for the program’s success. The counseling program supports a positive, safe, nurturing environment where all students can value learning, appreciate diversity, equity, inclusivity and demonstrate responsible citizenship. Counselor - Mary Wichman Ms. Wichman has had a diverse and extensive career within the FWISD (Fort Worth Independent School District) since 1995. Here is a summary of her professional journey:
Ms. Wichman's career progression showcases her versatility and dedication to various roles within the education sector. Her experience in teaching, counseling, administration, data analysis, and counseling again reflects a well-rounded professional background and a commitment to supporting students and educational institutions in different capacities over the years. Intervention Specialist - Corey Robinson Mr. Robinson, a Licensed Master Social Worker in Texas, brings a wealth of experience to his roles. He has worked extensively with children and families in Fort Worth ISD, provided critical support to veterans in the homeless community through The Salvation Army, and served individuals experiencing homelessness who face co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. Mr. Robinson has also supervised and mentored social work interns during their placements at The Salvation Army, guided survivors of domestic violence at One Safe Place, and offered support to at-risk youth within the Denton Juvenile Detention Center. His expertise reflects a deep commitment to fostering resilience and recovery across diverse communities. Mr. Robinson is a very proud father and husband that enjoys traveling, hiking, climbing, and camping with his family. Education:
